Event Traffic Management
Over the past 12 years we have seen a huge growth in the number of events that we have been involved with, so much so that we now have a dedicated events team. We handle events ranging from small village fetes with less than 50 people in attendance right through to our biggest event to date which is the largest christmas market in europe that 120,000 people attended. We understand that vehicle traffic flow is the first and last impression a guest experiences when attending an event. Green Light offers a comprehensive event management service.

Traffic Planning
Working in conjunction with the police, highways and local authority we can prepare your event or venue traffic plan for submission with your license request. This includes providing all traffic orders, detailed signage schedule, routing, road closures, diversions, internal car parking, and transport planning advice and assistance for the development and implementation of traffic management plans for the event.
Car Parking
We can organise the layout of car parks and carry out a pre defined car parking plan on the day(s) of your event. Using our staff and equipment we will delineate car parking areas and emergency services avenues. Supplying uniformed traffic marshals who will ensure that there is a smooth flow of traffic off the roads into the internal car parks. We are able to supply all the equipment and prepare the site car parks for use.
Park and Walk/Ride
Where there is insufficient car parking space for all your customers in partnership with a local operator we can locate, set up and manage park-and-walk facilities and/or a bus shuttle scheme connecting to city centre rail and bus stations, ensuring your customers have as seamless a transition as possible.
Signage
We are able to provide and set out all your event signage both internal and external which will conform to all current legislation and be placed by our qualified traffic management operatives. Our strategic signage will be able to direct visitors and participants from the outskirts of the town/city to the event, guide drivers to the car parks and also local wayfinding around the event site with the minimum of fuss. As well as this we are able to manufacture and set out advance warning signs to advertise the event.
During the Event
We can provide a transport survey team and appoint a director who is responsible for the live control and command of the traffic management/car park operation, switching of signing plans and liaisons with the police and transport operators. They will also assist in the management of Health and Safety issues for the public arriving and departing the events including the dynamic management of often very large queues. Our director will support the City Council and other multi-agency partners in undertaking traffic co-ordination and safety assessments for the event.
After the Event
At the end of your event, our staff manages the exit phase. By using good communication and queue management we can help to keep your customers happy at a very busy time. We will develop a traffic flow systems that keeps traffic disruption to a minimum on both entry and exit of the event.

We can supply all kinds of equipment, staff, PPE/uniforms, security and with an extensive list of industry contacts we are able to provide help, advice and point you in the right direction for various companies who provide stage hire, lighting, toilets, security fencing or any other type of facility your event may require.
